The United States Postal Service has issued a service disruption alert for the Puna region of the Island of Hawaii.
If you are a pension plan retiree receiving a benefit check to your home, and you live near or around the vicinity of recent volcanic activity, you will likely experience a delay receiving your check.
If you have not received your pension check via mail, you may contact PBGC to:
- Enroll in electronic direct deposit of your check to eliminate the risk of postal delays; or
- Update your mailing address to an alternate pay destination address.
