Advisory Committee

The Corporation is aided by a seven-member Advisory Committee appointed by the President of the United States to represent the interests of labor, employers and the general public. ERISA outlines several responsibilities for PBGC's Advisory Committee, including advising on investment policy and on other matters related to PBGC’s mission.
 

MEMBERS

HENRY C. EICKELBERG
Chair | Representing Employers

Eickelberg serves as the chair of the Advisory Committee. Eickelberg is an adjunct professor of law in the graduate legal programs for both Washington University in St. Louis and the Georgetown University Law Center. A certified public accountant, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from DePaul University (Chicago) and a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws in Federal Taxation from John Marshall Law School (Chicago). He represents the interests of employers.

PRESTON CRABILL 
Committee Member | Representing Employee Organizations 

Crabill retired from General Motors (GM) in Detroit, Michigan, where he most recently served as the Director of North America, Retirement and Profit-Sharing Plans. He was responsible for plan design, management, and administration of GM’s defined benefit pension plans and defined contribution plans. Throughout his career, Crabill has held various leadership roles in human resources, labor relations, compensation, and benefits in the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Dayton, as well as completed an executive development program from Carnegie Mellon University. He will represent the interests of employee organizations. 
 
LYNN FRANZOI
Committee Member | Representing General Public

Franzoi is the owner of LLF Consulting, LLC, which provides benefit consulting services to small and midsize companies. Prior to establishing her consulting firm, Franzoi was Senior Vice President, Benefits, at Fox Entertainment Group, Inc. While in that role, she was responsible for the design, administration, and financing of all benefit programs for domestic and international employees. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a graduate of the UCLA Attorney Assistant Program. She will represent the interests of the general public.

JEANMARIE GRISI
Committee Member | Representing Employers

Grisi is head of global pensions at Nokia. Based out of its offices in Murray Hill, NJ, she is responsible for the oversight of investments and accounting for the Nokia global pension and post-retirement benefit trusts totaling over $37 billion. Grisi serves on the National Board of the Girl Scouts of the USA, is a director of Vantage Trust Company, LLC and is a current member and past treasurer and board member of the Committee on Investment in Employee Benefit Assets Inc. She is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She represents the interests of employers.

JACKSON MILLER
Committee Member | Representing General Public

Miller previously served on the PBGC Advisory Committee from 2008 to 2011. He retired as vice president for General Motors Asset Management in New York and served on the Investment Committee of the Helmsley Charitable Trust. Prior positions included vice president-relationship management at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, vice president of investments at Philip Morris and director of investments at Eli Lilly. Miller holds an undergraduate degree in international relations from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He represents the interests of the general public.

GUY PINKMAN 
Committee Member | Representing Employee Organizations 

Pinkman served as acting chief and captain/paramedic for the Lincoln Fire Rescue Department. He has also served as a trustee on the Lincoln Police and Fire Pension Fund for more than 10 years and is a recognized speaker worldwide on pension issues including funding status, fiduciary responsibilities, and numerous others. Pinkman holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This is his second appointment to the Advisory Committee, and he will continue to represent the interests of employee organizations.
