Fraud Awareness

Scam Alert: Individuals posing online as PBGC employees have contacted customers to obtain information. Please be aware that PBGC will never send you email, texts, or unsolicited social media messages to request personal or financial information. This includes requests for Social Security numbers, passwords, or similar information. Additionally, please keep in mind that all PBGC email and web addresses will end in .gov.

User Guide: Creating a Login.gov Account to Access MyPBA 

User Guide PBGC uses Login.gov to verify the identity of its customers.  Login.gov offers an extra layer of security to protect your personal information. To help you set up a Login.gov account, PBGC has created a User Guide, Creating a Login.gov Account to Access MyPBA, including common questions and answers. Please note: Customers who don't have a U.S.-issued ID (driver's license or state-issued ID card) are not eligible to create an online account through MyPBA.

Do You Want to Change Your Tax Withholding?

There are three options to update your withholding:  

  • Log in to your MyPBA account via Login.gov, or set up an account if you don’t already have one. Once your account is ready, you can update your federal tax withholding online.
  • Download and print PBGC Form 719. Please complete and sign the form, then send it to PBGC.
  • Call PBGC’s Customer Contact Center and ask to have PBGC Form 719 mailed to your home address. Once you receive the form please complete and sign it, then send it to PBGC.

Customer Contact Center Extended Hours

PBGC Customer Contact Center hours are now 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday – Friday (except federal holidays).
