Need Another Way to Get in Touch with PBGC?

To help our customers communicate with us during this time of high call volume and tax-related requests, we’ve created a way for you to email us completed forms and requests without calling the 1-800 number.

Because PBGC deals with secure, private data for our customers, we ask that you do not include any social security number(s) and only include:

  • In the subject line: the nature of your request
  • In the body of the email, please include:
    • your full name
    • PBGC customer ID number (if you know it)
    • preferred method of contact (phone or email)
    • phone number
    • pension plan name and/or plan number
    • If you are including documents, please send them as attachments to your email in either JPEG (image) or PDF format. Please do not embed photos in the body of your email. Examples include income verification requirements, death certificates or completed PBGC forms like Elections for Federal Tax Withholding or Direct Deposit.

If we need additional information from you, we will contact you to provide it over the phone or in a secure manner.
