Multiemployer Program
- Although the total number of multiemployer plan participants that PBGC covers
has grown, the percentage of these participants that are active workers fell from
76 percent in 1980 to 51 percent in 1999.
- The increase in the number of retired participants was slightly larger than the
increase in the number of separated vested participants.
